Your Encounter Awaits

Every November nearly 20,000 modelers, families, and train fans of all ages visit Milwaukee to celebrate the magic of Trainfest.

Experience Model Trains

Trainfest is the only place in North America where you’ll see more than 70 running model railroads set in miniature landscapes. There’s so much to see: manufacturers’ new products, new layouts, old favorites, even treasured friendships rekindled. It’s why people from every generation and from around the world make the trek to Trainfest.

A Great Family Value

Trainfest is famously kid-friendly. When you need a break from the layouts (kids are encouraged to bring portable step stools) head over to the kids area to play at the train tables for a bit or make a model to take home. We strive not only to support today’s model railroading hobby, but also to inspire the engineers and hobbyists of tomorrow. Learn more about all the family activities at Trainfest »

Whether you’re looking to expand your layout or just getting started in the hobby, Trainfest is the place to be. We host more than 100 manufacturers and hobby dealers who showcase their latest products. (Many offer great Show deals.) The manufacturers and dealers have traveled far and wide to attend Trainfest, and they are ready and willing to share product recommendations and tips. Unanimously their goal is to help everyone at Trainfest find just the right products for their railroading need — from beginner to railroading extraordinaire.
